These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a binding agreement between you and Selfmap AI ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). By downloading, installing, and using the Motivate: Quotes Made for You mobile application (the "App") and accessing our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Not Medical, Therapeutic, or Professional Advice

Motivate provides personalized motivational content only. The quotes, messages, and content delivered by Motivate are NOT medical advice, psychological treatment, professional counseling, therapy, or scientific guidance. They are AI-generated and curated motivational messages based on:

• Personal profile data you provide during onboarding
• AI-generated content tailored to your stated context
• A bundled library of curated motivational quotes
• Engagement signals from your interaction with the App

None of these constitute diagnosis, treatment recommendations, crisis intervention, or any form of mental health care.

Accuracy and Reliability

While we strive to deliver meaningful and relevant motivational content, we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, appropriateness, or reliability of any quote or message. AI models can produce unexpected, inaccurate, or contextually inappropriate output. You acknowledge that all generated content is interpretive and that its emotional impact varies from person to person.

3. Eligibility

You represent and warrant that:

• You are at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).
• You have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• You are not prohibited by law from using the App.
• Any information you provide during onboarding is true, accurate, and current to the best of your ability.

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for monitoring their children's use of the App. Children under 13 should not use Motivate.

4. Service Use & Restrictions

Permitted Use

You may use Motivate for personal, non-commercial purposes:

• Creating an anonymous profile and providing onboarding information
• Viewing personalized and curated motivational quotes
• Saving, liking, and sharing quotes
• Customizing themes, fonts, and home screen widgets
• Tracking your daily streak
• Accessing your saved quotes history

Prohibited Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, decompile, or distribute the App or its code
• Use the App to harass, threaten, or harm others
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Access the App through unauthorized means or automated tools (bots, scrapers)
• Provide false information to manipulate quote generation
• Upload explicit, offensive, or illegal content through any input field
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our servers or databases
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Motivate's content or services without authorization
• Use the App in any way that could harm the App, our services, or other users

Violation of these restrictions may result in immediate termination of your account and potential legal action.

5. AI & Automated Processing

How Personalized or Generated Content Works

Motivate uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized motivational quotes based on your onboarding profile data. This process involves:

• Analyzing your stated life context, goals, challenges, and preferences
• Sending profile data to AI language models (via OpenAI's API) to generate quotes
• Mixing AI-generated quotes with content from a curated library
• Adjusting tone weighting based on which quotes you like over time

Limitations of AI

• AI models are trained on historical data and can contain biases, errors, or inconsistencies
• AI-generated quotes are probabilistic and may occasionally produce unexpected or off-topic content
• We do not use AI for automated decision-making that significantly affects your rights or legal status
• AI-generated content does not represent the views or recommendations of Selfmap AI

No Guaranteed Outcomes

You acknowledge that motivational content is interpretive and subjective. We do not guarantee that any quote will be helpful, actionable, accurate, or beneficial to your situation. The utility and emotional impact of any quote is personal and varies from user to user.

6. Warranties

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:

• That the App is error-free or will meet your expectations
• That quotes are accurate, complete, helpful, or appropriate
• That the App will be available uninterrupted or free from unauthorized access
• That any defects will be corrected
• That any content is accurate or non-harmful

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS AND IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR:

Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Motivate is currently offered free of charge, and our liability reflects the free nature of the service.

No Liability for User Conduct

We are not liable for any harm caused by your reliance on any quotes, messages, or content provided through the App, or for any decisions you make based on motivational content.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Selfmap AI, its affiliates, and their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses (including attorney's fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
• Your infringement of any intellectual property or privacy rights
• Any harm caused by the information you provide or content generated based on that information

Your use of Motivate is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding data collection, use, and security.

10. Modifications and Termination

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted in the App, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms or applicable law
• You engage in fraud, harassment, or illegal activity
• We believe your use poses a risk to us, our other users, or legal compliance

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases. Sections regarding liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution survive termination.
