This Privacy Policy explains how PoseUp ("we," "our," "us"), operated by Selfmap AI, handles information when you use the PoseUp iOS application and related services (the "Service").
By using PoseUp, you consent to the practices described below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
PoseUp is an AI photo-editing app. You provide a photo, and an AI image-editing model returns an edited version of it.
PoseUp is not a face-recognition product, a biometric-identification system, or a medical service. We do not maintain a database of faces and we do not match users by appearance.
No personal account. PoseUp does not require an email address, password, name, or phone number. On first launch, your device is assigned a randomly generated anonymous identifier, which we use to associate your activity with your device.
Photos and Face Data. See Section 4 for how photos you upload or capture (which may contain your face) are handled.
Generation metadata. We log basic information about each AI request - timing, status, cost, and the style or option you selected - to operate the Service and debug failures.
Purchase records. When you subscribe or buy a credit pack, we receive transaction information (product, transaction ID, environment, and subscription status) from Apple via our payments partner. We do not see or store your payment-method details.
Usage and device data. We collect anonymized analytics events (screens viewed, actions taken, app version, device model) to improve the product.
Advertising identifier. If you grant permission via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, we share your IDFA with our advertising partner for attribution. If you decline, we do not share an advertising identifier.
Local-only preferences. Settings such as your selected posing gender are stored on your device and never transmitted.
We use the information we collect to provide the Service, generate the outputs you request, maintain your in-app history, process purchases, prevent abuse, and improve PoseUp.
PoseUp is a photo-editing tool. To generate a result, you upload or capture a photo, which may contain your face. This section explains exactly what happens to that photo.
The third-party AI service we use to perform image-editing processes your photo solely on our behalf, under standard API terms that (i) prohibit training of AI models on submitted data and (ii) require the provider to maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that provide a level of protection at least equivalent to those described in this policy. Submitted images may be briefly retained by the provider for abuse and security monitoring, after which they are deleted.
Your photos and results are retained in your private storage area until you delete them. You can delete all of your photos and history at any time from Profile → Erase My Account.
We ask for your explicit consent inside the app — via a one-time disclosure screen — before sending the first photo for AI processing. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the app or using Profile → Erase My Account. Withdrawing consent stops further processing; it does not retroactively unmake results already generated.
We rely on the following providers to operate PoseUp. Each is contractually bound to process your information solely on our behalf and to maintain safeguards that provide a level of protection at least equivalent to those described in this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell or rent your information to any party.
Your data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure in the United States. Photos and results are stored in a private namespace tied to your anonymous PoseUp account and are not accessible to other users.
We retain your data for as long as you continue to use the Service. You may permanently delete your data at any time through Profile → Erase My Account, which removes your photos, generation history, and account record.
California residents (CCPA) have the right to know, delete, opt out of sale (we do not sell), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
EEA / UK residents (GDPR) have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of their personal data. Our legal bases are consent (for tracking), contract (to deliver the Service), and legitimate interests (for analytics and abuse prevention).
PoseUp is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Contact support@selfmapai.com if you believe a child has used the Service and we will delete the relevant data.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, with an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
