Privacy Policy for Selftest IQ: Brain Training

Last Updated: July 8, 2026

Effective Date: July 8, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Selftest IQ ("we," "our," "us"), operated by Selfmap AI, handles information when you use the Selftest IQ iOS application (the "Service").

By using Selftest IQ, you consent to the practices described below. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. About Selftest IQ

Selftest IQ is a brain-training and self-discovery app. It offers puzzle games that exercise memory, focus, logic, and speed, together with quizzes and self-tests about personality and cognitive style.

Selftest IQ is an entertainment and self-discovery service. Test results are for self-reflection and fun only and are not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

3. Information We Collect

No personal account

Selftest IQ does not require an email address, password, name, or phone number. There is no signup and no login.

Test answers and results

Your answers to self-tests, your test results, and your onboarding responses (such as age range and goals) are stored only on your device. See Section 4.

Game progress

Your level progress, scores, coins, streaks, and settings are stored only on your device.

Usage and device data

We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized usage events — such as app opens, screens viewed, levels played, and tests completed — along with technical data like device model, OS version, and a randomly generated app-instance identifier. We use this to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Analytics events never include your answers or results.

Advertising data

Selftest IQ is supported through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect device information (such as device model, operating system, IP address, and general location approximation), interaction data, and — only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — your advertising identifier (IDFA). If you decline, ads are not personalized using your advertising identifier. See Section 5.

We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, health data, or any biometric data. The app requests no device permissions except optional tracking permission described above.

4. Test Answers and Results

Selftest IQ asks questions about topics such as your personality, habits, focus, and preferences. This section explains what happens to your answers.

Where they live

  • Your answers and results are stored on your device only.
  • They are not uploaded to our servers, not shared with advertisers, and not used to build a profile of you.
  • Analytics may record that you started or completed a test, but never your answers or what your result was.

What we do NOT do

  • We do NOT sell, rent, or share your answers or results with anyone.
  • We do NOT use your answers for ad targeting or advertising profiling.
  • We do NOT use your answers to diagnose any medical or psychological condition.

Retention and deletion

Because your answers and results live only on your device, you are in full control of them. Deleting the app from your device removes your test answers, results, and game progress. We have no copy and cannot recover it.

Sharing is your choice

Some results can be shared as an image card using the iOS share sheet. Sharing is entirely optional and initiated by you; we never share results on your behalf.

5. Advertising

Selftest IQ shows banner and interstitial ads, plus rewarded ads that you choose to watch in exchange for in-game benefits.

  • Ad provider. Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google acts as an independent service provider and processes the data according to its own privacy policy, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Consent. Where required (for example in the EEA), we present a consent message via Google's User Messaging Platform before personalized ads are shown. You can choose non-personalized ads.
  • Tracking permission. We request tracking permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, your advertising identifier is not shared for personalized advertising.
  • Rewarded ads are optional. You are never required to watch a rewarded ad; they are offered as an opt-in choice.

We do not sell or rent your information to any party.

6. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following providers to operate Selftest IQ:

  • Google AdMob and Google User Messaging Platform — serves ads and manages ad-consent choices. Receives the advertising identifiers and consent data described in Sections 3 and 5. Does not receive your test answers or results.
  • Google Firebase / Google Analytics — collects the anonymized usage and device data described in Section 3 to help us understand and improve the app. Does not receive your test answers or results. Google's policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Apple App Store — distributes the app and provides updates. We receive no personal information about you from Apple.

We do not operate a cloud backend that stores your personal content, and we do not sell or rent your information to any party.

7. Storage, Security, and Retention

Your personal content (test answers, results, and progress) is stored locally on your device, protected by your device's built-in security. Deleting the app deletes this content permanently.

Analytics data is retained by Google (currently up to 14 months) and then automatically deleted. Advertising data is retained by Google in accordance with its own retention policies.

8. Your Rights and Choices

  • Erase your on-device data by deleting the app from your device.
  • Manage tracking permission through iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
  • Manage ad-consent choices (where required) via the options presented in the app.
  • Request deletion of analytics tied to your app instance by emailing support@selfmapai.com.

California residents (CCPA) have the right to know, delete, opt out of sale (we do not sell personal information), and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

EEA / UK residents (GDPR) have the right to access, rectify, erase, delete, restrict, port, or object to the processing of their personal data. Our legal bases are consent (for personalized advertising) and legitimate interests (for analytics, contextual ads, and abuse prevention). Because your test data never leaves your device, most rights over it can be exercised directly by deleting the app.

9. Children's Privacy

Selftest IQ is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. Contact support@selfmapai.com if you believe a child has used the Service and we will assist with removal.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be communicated by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, with an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
