Terms & Conditions of Use for Selftest IQ: Brain Training

Important Notices

Free, ad-supported app. Selftest IQ is free to download and use and is supported by advertising. There are currently no in-app purchases.

Entertainment only. Games, tests, and reports in Selftest IQ are for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not medical or psychological assessments and must not be relied on as such.

These Terms include important warranty disclaimers (Section 9) and a limitation of liability (Section 10). Please read them.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms govern your use of the Selftest IQ iOS application (the "Service") operated by Selfmap AI ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may modify these Terms by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

2. The Service

Selftest IQ provides brain-training games and self-discovery tests for personal, recreational use. Scores, cognitive challenges, percentiles, rankings, and test results are generated for entertainment and motivation. They are not scientifically validated psychometric instruments or a medical, psychological, diagnostic, or educational-assessment tool. If you have concerns about your health, attention, mood, or cognition, consult a qualified professional.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old. Users between 13 and 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.

4. No Account; Local Data

Selftest IQ has no signup, no login, and no account. Your progress, scores, coins, streaks, and test results are stored only on your device and are not synced across devices or backed up by us. Deleting the app permanently deletes this data; we cannot restore it. A new device or reinstall starts fresh. Anonymized usage analytics are collected as described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service.
• Use bots, scripts, or automated systems to interact with the Service.
• Manipulate, exploit, or tamper with scores, coins, streaks, or rankings.
• Engage in ad fraud, including artificially generating ad impressions or clicks.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for violations.

6. Virtual Items

The Service includes virtual items such as coins, XP, scores, streaks, and boosters. Virtual items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for real money, are non-transferable, and may be modified, rebalanced, or reset by us at any time as part of operating the Service. You have no ownership interest in any virtual item.

7. Advertising

The Service displays third-party banner and interstitial ads, plus optional rewarded ads you may choose to watch in exchange for in-game benefits. Advertisements are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or quality of any product, service, or website they link to. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service — including its games, tests, graphics, and software — is owned by Selfmap AI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on your Apple device for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from our content except for personal sharing features provided in the app (such as sharing a result card).

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT PROGRESS OR DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST, OR THAT ANY SCORE, RESULT, OR REPORT IS ACCURATE, VALIDATED, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE OTHER THAN ENTERTAINMENT. NOTHING IN THE SERVICE CONSTITUTES MEDICAL, PSYCHOLOGICAL, OR PROFESSIONAL ADVICE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR REPUTATIONAL HARM) ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED USD $50.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Selfmap AI and its service providers from any claims, damages, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may terminate by deleting the app from your device.

13. Apple App Store Notice

These Terms are between you and Selfmap AI, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them. Your use of the Service must comply with the App Store usage rules.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Selfmap AI is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

15. Modifications

We may modify these Terms by posting an updated version with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
